Covid 19 |  Modi govt announces aid for recession-hit states, find out what's for Gujarat?

 Under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Yojana, the Central Government has announced a package of Rs 9880 crore for 27 different states.  So far, an amount of Rs 4,940 has been disbursed, according to sources.  Under this scheme, money has been distributed for sectors ranging from education to health.  Of the Modi government for the states affected by the Corona

● The government's call was made on the basis of a report by the Finance Ministry. During the Kum Koro period, the Centre's Modi government had planned to distribute Rs 9,880 crore to the states under the Self-Reliant India Scheme, with Uttar Pradesh currently receiving the highest amount of Rs 750 crore.  According to sources, the assistance has been made available to the states for capital expenditure in key sectors like health and education.

 The distribution was made on the basis of a report by the finance ministry, which said in a statement today that the amount was sanctioned on December 8, with all states except Tamil Nadu taking advantage of the scheme.  Financial assistance has been declared to Gujarat under this scheme.  A total of Rs 285 crore has been declared for Gujarat out of which Gujarat has received Rs 142 crore under the first phase.  Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh has been declared Rs 750 crore, Bihar 421 crore and Madhya Pradesh Rs 330 crore.  The loan is for a period of 50 years. It is noteworthy that the second phase of the incentive package was announced by Finance Minister Sitharaman in October.  The state was also declared an interest-free loan of Rs 12,000 crore for capital projects for a period of 50 years.


 The loan amount was announced on the basis of a report by the Finance Commission under the 15th Finance Commission, which said that states were having difficulty in spending on infrastructure due to declining revenue.  An estimated Rs 1.18 lakh crore has been released to the states by December 3.
